After weeks of anticipation, by the time Super Bowl Sunday rolled around, I was so excited. My friends and I worked out who was bringing what, so that we had all of the essentials to watch the big game. And thanks to the electric heater I brought over, Gabe’s garage was the perfect temperature.
While other people made sure that we had the right party snacks, I brought my home made beer, eager to show of my brewing skills to all of my friends. Even though the process took a few weeks, once I tasted the beer I made, it was totally worth it. Just to make sure that the finished product was good, I invited my friend Jason over on Friday for a sample.
Each of us determined that the handmade beer was superb, and couldn’t wait to show it off to our friends at the party. Once we got there, the beer was a big hit. Everyone tasted it, and I got tons of compliments. My friends told me that I’m officially in charge of beverages for special occasions from now on, insisting that I make beer that we can all enjoy.
And since the process is so much fun, I would be thrilled to do so. Later this week, I’m planning to start a new batch, and hope that it is as successful as the first one. Best of all, the beer was a great topic of conversation, since it didn’t just come from the store like most beverages. All night, everyone had something to chat about, even if they didn’t like football.
I can’t wait until I get more skilled at brewing my own beer, and can try out a few varieties. This is a great new hobby!
