We all know how helpful house humidifiers can be. I have used mine all around my house in different rooms like the kitchen and my bedroom when I'm feeling under the weather.
Well, last night, I was talking to my sister, Jill, who lives in Philadelphia. She told me that she was recently reading an article that detailed how to pick a house humidifier that suits your needs and lifestyle.
When Jill told me about this story I was both thrilled and intrigued. Just the other day, my next door neighbor was asking me if I could tell give him some advice on how to go about purchasing this handy appliance.
My sister told me that first, it's best to consider what room the humidifier is going in. If it is going in a small bathroom, then she told me that it isn't necessary to purchase one of those appliances that is very big.
However, if it's going in a large basement or bedroom, it is a good idea to purchase a humidifier that is a little bigger. But, Jill was quick to point out that larger doesn't just refer to the dimensions of the machine. It means that when selecting what kind of humidifier to buy, you should take the size of the water tank that is inside the appliance into account. This capacity of the water tank can usually be found on the outside of the humidifier's packaging.
After getting off the phone with Jill, I felt like I was so much better educated. Now, next time I see Maxy, I can tell relay some of the information I learned about purchasing humidifiers thanks to just a 15 minute conversation I had with my sister!
